international incident....

Jeanne & I almost created a international incident today. We were in a store and a young Chinese man must have noticed we were speaking English and he wanted to talk. He asked where we were from and Jeanne answered Texas. The fellow turned thumbs-up and said "Ah, George W. Bush" very brightly. Being the good democrats we are, we both turned our thumbs down saying how much we disliked him. The fellow said "but he is your president, you no like because of war?" I said that's just one reason. Then Jeanne started in about "he's a crook, he was a bad governor, he takes money from the oil companies, he's why our economy is bad, gas is so high" etc. Poor fellow, all he wanted to do was practice some English. He didn't hang around after that. There was one other American man in the store and we could see his shoulders shaking from laughing.

It's been raining all day so we're al a little stir-crazy. More pics later.
