My version of events today....
The people from Maoming were late so we were just about the last family to get our child. Lauren did great when we first got her, very sweet. She crashed on the bus and had lost it by the time we got to the hotel. She was just limp from crying and threw herself across my lap. It wasn't long though that she perked up after some water and Goldfish crackers and a banana got her going. I thought she was going to be kind of a shy child, but nooooo. She is another talker but it is all in Chinese. I read her a simple book tonight and I could hear her under her breath repeating the words I was saying and she put her finger on the book to follow along with he words. She is very boisterous and Leanne is a little put out by that. When we went to dinner tonight Leanne had to go to the bathroom. Jeanne walked Leanne to the bathroom but Lauren ran after them. Jeanne said when Lauren caught up to them that Leanne said "Oh, man, what are you doing here?" The girls had great fun taking a bubble bath together tonight. I brushed out Lauren's hair as it was in braids and the she wanted very much to brush my hair. She was complaining in chinese the whole time no doubt something like "how do you brush through that wo0ly stuff." More tomorrow....

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for you guys!
There is no such person as a SHY Yancey- Lauren was destined to be boisterous!
Yes, this is exciting to read as you go about this great adventure of your life. Stay safe and keep enjoying every second of this trip.
How wonderful for all of you.
Miss you Jeanne.
Donna sent me this link and I am so glad she did!!!! Amazing family and the girls are so cute! Have a wonderful time and a safe trip home.
Love to all!
Lauren sounds and looks precocious. We definitely think that Leanne cannot get married until she has a very tight pre-nuptial agreement although they would have very cute kids. Betty wants to know how you say "wooly hair" in Chinese? Seriously, you are all looking mighty fine and we cannot wait to welcome you home. Always remember my philosophy: Better living through drugs!!!
